Meerscheidt Recreation Center Announces Alternate Building Access

Beginning Mon., Dec. 29, the front entrance and lobby at Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Avenue will be closed to the public and instead, building access will be available through the gated outdoor basketball courts on the south side of the building on Hermosa Street. Signage will be available to direct patrons to the alternate entrance. The front parking lot will also be utilized by the construction crew so parking for patrons will be located on the south side of the building with additional parking available at Maag softball complex, 1542 E. Hadley Ave.

The information (check-in) desk will be located at the rear of the building in the multi-purpose room. The main gym and auxiliary gym will continue to operate as scheduled.

Restrooms and water fountains at Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave., will continue to be unavailable due to construction and remodeling. Portable restrooms and hand-washing stations will continue be available for use behind the building during regular operating hours.
