Welcome to the Young Park Master Plan Project

With its scenic pond, inclusive playgrounds, and paved loop trail, it serves as a vibrant hub for outdoor recreation and community gatherings. The park offers a variety of amenities, including picnic shelters, benches, restrooms, tennis courts, and a duck pond stocked with catfish for fishing, making it a beloved destination for residents of all ages.

Why a Master Plan?

As Las Cruces continues to grow and change, so do the needs and expectations of its residents. To ensure Young Park remains a welcoming, safe, and inclusive space, the City is developing a new master plan that builds on recent improvements while setting a vision for the park’s future. The Young Park Master Plan is an opportunity to respond to these needs through a collaborative process. As part of the plan, the City is conducting a round of community engagement to better understand how residents use the park, what challenges they face, and what improvements would make the space even more meaningful. Together, we can create a park that reflects the community’s values and supports well-being for generations to come!
