The City of Las Cruces is proud to announce its participation in the REDI Sites program, a first-of-its-kind national standard for evaluating site readiness for U.S. office and industrial projects. Administered by the Site Selectors Guild, the REDI Sites program provides a rigorous, third party reviewed assessment to help communities position their properties for investment.

As part of the program, the Las Cruces Innovation & Industrial Park (LCIIP) — a City-owned industrial park offering more than 800 acres of industrially zoned land supporting value-added agriculture, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, aerospace, aviation, defense, and commercial uses, with direct access to Interstate 10 — has received a Platinum designation. This recognition affirms LCIIP’s high level of site readiness and alignment with national industry standards and site selector expectations.

Launched in 2024, REDI Sites was created to bring consistency, credibility, and visibility to site readiness, a process that has historically varied from state to state. Each site is evaluated across five core categories: ownership and entitlements, ease of development, utility access, environmental considerations, and logistics.

About LCIIP

The City of Las Cruces leads strategic economic development efforts that support job creation, private investment, and long-term regional growth. Through proactive infrastructure planning, site development, and strong partnerships at the local, state, and federal levels, the City works to ensure that businesses can locate and expand efficiently.

Located within the Borderplex region — a dynamic, binational economic corridor spanning southern New Mexico, West Texas, and northern Mexico — Las Cruces offers companies access to a workforce of more than 2.7 million people, multimodal transportation networks, international trade routes, and proximity to key federal assets including White Sands Missile Range and NASA facilities.

By combining regional connectivity, research institutions, and business-friendly development practices, the City of Las Cruces is committed to positioning the Las Cruces Innovation & Industrial Park as a nationally competitive destination for advanced industries.
