Developing Youth Leaders Academy Accepting Applications

The City is offering an opportunity for high schoolers to learn about various City departments and how they impact daily life! During the LCPS Fall Break, high school students can attend the City’s Developing Youth Leaders Academy from 1 – 4 p.m. October 6 – 10, 2025.

Students will dive deep into the inner workings of the City of Las Cruces and discover the roles that different departments play in shaping our community. This unique event offers a behind-the-scenes look at how the City operates and provides an opportunity to meet the dedicated professionals who make it all happen.

Developing Youth Leaders Academy is an educational and inspiring week of activities. Students can register for this free program by visiting the website at LasCruces.gov/YouthLeaders.

Highlights of the week include:

• Interactive tours: Explore various City departments including Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Police and Fire
