On Jan. 12, Las Cruces Fire Department responded and put out a structure fire in a two-story apartment at the 1900 block of S. Telshor Blvd.
Following an investigation, LCFD has determined the fire at 1955 S. Telshor Blvd. was intentionally set and classified as arson. A suspect has been identified, and the LCFD is working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) due to the nature of the fire and the investigative resources required.
Estimated damage from the fire is approximately $5,000. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
