
The Las Cruces Police Department is offering up to $35,000 in recruitment and retention incentives for commissioned law enforcement personnel who are in good standing with their current department and wish to laterally transfer to LCPD.
Officers who are commissioned in New Mexico or have at least two years of certified law enforcement experience from police departments outside of New Mexico are eligible, based on the successful completion of a thorough background investigation, to laterally transfer to LCPD.
Recruitment and Retention Incentives offered by LCPD:
- At Hire: $10,000
- Completion of FTO: $10,000
- Completion of 1-Year Probation: $10,000
An additional $5,000 relocation assistance incentive is available for those who qualify.
Lateral Transfers Pay Scale Per Hour Based on Years Experience:
- 2-Years: $30.27
- 3-Years: $31.68
- 5-Years: $34.15
- 8-Years: $34.70
- 11-Years: $36.33
