Evelyn Street Reconstruction Project Open House

The City of Las Cruces Public Works Department invites residents, businesses, and community members to an Open House to learn about the upcoming Evelyn Street Reconstruction Project, which spans from Madrid Avenue to Ash Street.

The Open House meeting takes place at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, in the Las Cruces City Hall Council Chambers, 700 N. Main Street.

Planned improvements include new pavement, curb and gutter, ADA-compliant sidewalks and driveways, street lighting, utility replacements, and enhanced concrete work. The project will also include added bike lanes, wider sidewalks, traffic calming features, and bus stop upgrades. City staff will present project details and welcome public participation. The public’s input is encouraged to help shape the final design.
