City Seeks Public Input on Realize Las Cruces Technical Manual

The City of Las Cruces invites public comments on the Realize Las Cruces Technical Manual. This manual is designed to assist design professionals and the community in implementing updates to the City’s land use code, developed as part of the Realize Las Cruces initiative.

The Realize Las Cruces project also includes an update to the City’s zoning map, aligning with the vision established in the Elevate Las Cruces Comprehensive Plan. This effort aims to modernize the development framework, making the land use code more user-friendly and ensuring compliance with state regulations. The last significant update to the land use code occurred in 2001, making this a crucial milestone for the city.

Public input is vital to the success of this initiative. The community is encouraged to review the proposed manual and provide feedback by December 31, 2024. Your comments will help shape the final version of the technical manual, which the City Council is expected to consider for adoption in February 2025.
