A book titled "A Novel" by James Percival Everett.

Las Cruces Public Libraries invites bibliophiles to participate in the Branigan Book Club’s monthly meeting where, in February, the discussion will focus on the novel “James” by Percival Everett.

The Branigan Book Club’s monthly meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the Kiva Room on the first floor of Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave., on Roadrunner Transit Route 1. The Branigan Book Club meets the fourth Tuesday of each month.

The book club generally discusses books with a more serious and literary focus and reads both fiction and nonfiction. In March the club will discuss “The Women” by Kristen Hannah. April’s discussion will be on “Beaverland: How One Weird Rodent Made America” by Leila Philip. And, in May, the Branigan Book Club we will discuss “Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers” by Jesse Q. Sutanto.

Branigan has a small collection of these books available each month for checkout by book club participants.

For more information, contact Deanna Duffy, Librarian, at (575) 528-4005 or by email at dduffy@clcstaging.lascruces.gov.

Participants who require accommodations for a disability to participate in this event are encouraged to call the library at (575) 528-4102, TTY 711, at least 48 hours in advance.
