Mesquite Historic District Street Lighting Design
The City of Las Cruces Public Works Department, in partnership with Bohannan Huston Inc., invites residents, businesses, and community members to learn about the upcoming Arts & Cultural District Improvements – Mesquite Historic District Street Lighting Design. The project area spans from Campo Street to just east of North Mesquite Street, and from Spruce Avenue to Lohman Avenue.
A Public Meeting will take place beginning 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Las Cruces City Hall Council Chambers (700 N. Main Street), to discuss the recommendations.
The goal is to design and install decorative street lighting while working around challenges like narrow streets, limited right-of-way, and overhead power lines. Some locations may require easements. Bohannan Huston Inc will present project details and City staff will be available to answer any questions. Community members are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and share feedback.
