A residential structure fire on Manzanita Street caused damage to a home late Friday night.
Just before 11:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, firefighters were called to the 600 block of Manzanita Street. Upon arrival, crews found an abandoned residence and an adjacent structure actively on fire. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within approximately ten minutes of arrival.
Crews remained on scene for an extended period to fully extinguish remaining hot spots and due to non-standard construction add-ons with safety hazards. There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.
