Lohman Traffic Operation Nets 29 Citations

The Las Cruces Police Department’s Traffic Unit issued 29 citations during a one-hour enforcement operation Thursday afternoon along Lohman Avenue.

Of the 29 traffic citations, 10 were issued to motorists who exceeded the posted speed limit, nine to drivers operating a motor vehicle without proper registration and four for driving without proof of insurance.

Other citations issued during the operation were for miscellaneous traffic offenses such as using a cell phone while driving, failing to maintain traffic lane and having a modified exhaust.

The traffic enforcement operation, held along north Solano Drive, began at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, and lasted about one hour. Similar traffic enforcement operations will likely be held in the coming weeks.
