Las Cruces Public Libraries and the New Mexico State University Office of Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity are hosting a viewing and discussion of a film that looks into the life and impact of the late John Lewis.
Lewis, a politician and civil rights activist who died in July 2020 at the age of 80, served a long and distinguished career of social activism and legislative action on civil rights, voting rights, gun control, health care reform and immigration.
The film and discussion will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, in the Roadrunner Room at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave on Roadrunner Transit Route 1. The John Lewis film was released in 2020.
