The Historic Preservation Commission was created by the City Council upon the adoption of the Historic Preservation Ordinance. The Historic Preservation Commission meets every third Wednesday of every month unless rescheduled due to for an observed holiday or the meeting gets rescheduled.

- Case No. 25CS0500012: A request for approval a master plan known as Coyote Crossing Subdivision. The proposed master plan encompasses approximately 10.954 acres, is zoned R-1a (Single-Family Medium Density) and located south of Hansen Avenue and west of Spitz Street. The master plan proposes designated residential, drainage, open space, and landscaped areas. Right-of-way dedication for Spitz Street will also be provided with the proposed master plan. Submitted by GEM Surveying, representative, on behalf of Salas Rental LLC, property owner. Council District 1.
- Case No. 24CS0500127: A request for approval of a preliminary plat known as Coyote Crossing Subdivision. The proposed subdivision encompasses approximately 10.954 acres, is zoned R-1a (Single-Family Medium Density) and located south of Hansen Avenue and west of Spitz Street. The preliminary plat proposes fifty-eight (58) single-family residential lots, two (2) tracts of land for drainage and open space, one (1) tract of land for landscaping, and one (1) tract of land for the expansion of Spitz Street. Submitted by GEM Surveying, representative, on behalf of Salas Rental LLC, property owner. Council District 1.
- Case No. 24ZO0500095: A request for approval for a Zone Change, Zoning Code Amendment and Plan Amendment. The subject property is located at 249 S. Miranda Street, and approximately 0.60 acres in size. The applicant is proposing a zone change from ADO-3 (Alameda Depot Overlay 3 – North and South Residential Cores) with an underlying zoning of R-2 (Multi-Dwelling Low Density) to ADO-5 (Alameda Depot Overlay 5 – Amador Core); a code amendment to Section 36-2.D, Figure 36-2-13 (Alameda Depot Overlay Boundaries) of the 2025 Realize Development Code. Said amendment will be necessary to reflect the zone change if approved; and an amendment to Map 5 (Areas within the Alameda Depot Overlay) of the Alameda Depot Neighborhood Plan. Said amendment will be necessary to reflect consistency with the proposed zone change and development code amendment previously mentioned. Submitted by Ted Scanlon on behalf of Enchantment LLC., property owner. Council District 4.
The Planning and Zoning Commission is created by the City Council with the adoption of the Zoning Code. The Planning and Zoning Commission shall review the planning, zoning and platting of the City. The Planning and Zoning Commission meets every fourth Tuesday of every month unless rescheduled due to a holiday, or at the request of the Commission.
