I received the following message regarding Gino from a CLC citizen:
“Happy Friday to you. I want to take a minute and acknowledge a City of Las Cruces employee, Gino Jimenez. Our neighborhood has 2 loose dogs that are running rampant throughout. We also have feral cats who have been in the area for a long time-these dogs have attached and killed at least 3 of the cats. They were running around my house last night and the non-emergency number as well as the 24 hour animal control numbers were both busy or down. I sent an email throughout the night to Gino Jimenez as I found his email on the website. I received an answer from Mr. Jiminez before 8 am this morning. He said that he would send someone out to see if they can locate the dogs as well as gave me information on who to contact should I find out where they live or if they come back. With all of the negative light given often to employees of the City of Las Cruces, I thought it might be nice to acknowledge when they go above and beyond.”
