August 2016, we received all new equipment to conduct our bicycle safety programs (Bike Rodeos). We conduct an average of 26 bike rodeos each year when Las Cruces Police Department’s Mobile Operations Center is activated for community engagement, at various grade school functions throughout the year and during the annual National Night Out event. The bike rodeos teach children how to safely ride bicycles and how to perform safety checks on their bicycles.
